the "spiritual slump"

Lately, I've been going through what I can only describe as a spiritual rut. Life has taken me for a rollercoaster of a ride the last few weeks, and it's been tough to get into the Word. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to sit here and tell you that my life is perfect and I spend 2 hours a day investing in my relationship with God and blah, blah, blah... but the truth of it is: that's not how it is. My life is very much busy, my attention is pulled 100 different ways every day, even when I do get a moment with God, it doesn't last long. Sound familiar?

DISCLAIMER: My heart for this blog is a place where we can be real about our lives, the good and the bad of it. I'll be honest, it is extremely hard to be vulnerable through a screen. But bear with me, and we can walk this out together.

Priorities, priorities, priorities. God should be our biggest priority. Feeding our Spirit should be a priority. When your Spirit isn't filled, you can't truly live like God called you to.

Let's be real, quiet time doesn't need to be waking up at 2 a.m. and reading your Bible until your alarm goes off at 6. Find what works for you! Quiet time can be praying as you get ready, listening to an audio reading of the Bible on your commute, or reading a devotion right before you go to bed.

The bottom line is, if you don't want to make the change, nothing will change. This goes for everything in our lives. If you don't make a conscious decision to move out of a place of silence and stillness, you will never move.

As always, if you need anything at all we are always open to talk to you or pray on your behalf, just reach out via email or Instagram. We were called to go through life together!
