A Candid Conversation About Influence

"Fame is just a four-letter word like tape, or zoom, or love. It's what you do with the fame you've been given that makes it powerful." Let that sink in. On Tuesday, I was listening to the Passion 2021 Conference as just a little bit of background noise when I heard Sadie Robertson Huff say that. And let me tell you, it hit hard. Throughout the last few weeks, I've been seriously questioning the power of my own influence. There are so many moments where I'm on a stage or writing for this blog, and I just honestly don't feel worthy of the platform I've been given. Let's be real: the Devil is so good at making us question our calling. That sense of doubt is exactly what has been holding me, and so many others, back from all that God has truly called us to!
I don't ever want to waste my time, words, or influence. When your circle is small, you have a powerful message. When the stage reaches thousands, you have a powerful message. Your influence is not determined by the number of people listening, but by your choice to be faithful with what you've been given in a moment. We are all called in different capacities to share Jesus. That is our influence. Whether it's 100,000 followers or your classroom at school, you have life-changing power in your hands. Don't waste your influence!
